AGAINST THE GRAIN COLLECTION
“Against the Grain” is a striking collection created by Maxton Fox in partnership with Kaolin Surfaces, designed by Jacqueline Hall of PTW.
This collection combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, featuring an elegant Feature Table and Side Table.
The collection showcases a unique combination of porcelain tiles and solid walnut bases, seamlessly merging classic and contemporary aesthetics. Jacqueline Hall’s design philosophy for these designs was inspired by Ray Eames, who showed that furniture can be both functional and works of art.
The collection places emphasis on sustainability by incorporating recyclable natural materials and materials that are non depleting. All of which enhance the beauty of the collection as well as demonstrates a thoughtful commitment to practices.
Jacqueline’s vision breathes new life into classic forms, bringing playfulness, bold colors, and unexpected juxtaposition to create signature, timeless table designs that stand out from the crowd.
This collection can be featured using the walnut, or other natural timbers. Alternatively, as seen on the small side table the option for a poly painted finish.

- Optional tile additions, with the feature table design able to incorporate up to three tile faces on the base
