Milk Bar is a landmark luxury mixed-use development located on one of the most prominent corners of Bondi Beach — the junction of Campbell Parade and Hall Street.
The project involved the careful integration of a heritage façade into a newly constructed, architecturally-designed building that blends retail, residential, and lifestyle uses.
The project was delivered using a top-down methodology due to site constraints and the need to retain and brace the heritage façade. This required careful structural sequencing and proactive coordination across all trades and consultants.
The interior scope featured high-end custom joinery throughout, including a patina brass-lined lobby with integrated banquette seating, bespoke kitchens and vanities, and finely crafted curved stair details, and Maxton Fox was chosen by Trescon and the project team to partner and deliver these beautiful works designed by the team at Richards Stanisich.
Milk Bar stands as a unique fusion of heritage character and contemporary design. Maxton Fox is proud to have been chosen as the lead joiner for the entire works throughout the building, and lobby area including metal fabricated brass features and letterboxes.
Stunning use of American white oak solid timber, and matching veneer, combined with the Travetine stone, is an understated luxurious mix that suits both the building and the surrounds of the Bondi beach landscape.
