Lyf Bondi Junction Sydney is a 197-unit property designed to offer a unique, experience-led social living hotel for transient professionals, business travelers, and those seeking leisure in the city.

With the growing demand for alternative lodging concepts, Lyf Australia and in particular the new Bondi Junction premises, embraces co-living and co-working; offering more than just accommodation. It is a vibrant social hub, providing guests with a strong sense of community as well as convenience to all amenities within the bustling Bondi precinct.

Maxton Fox was engaged by ICON Constructions in early 2023 at the early stages of this project to provide consultation across large-scale joinery units with intricate details, that required specific manufacturing advice and guidance all the way throughout from pricing, to prototyping, manufacturing and installation. Maxton Fox delivered all joinery throughout the public areas of this property.

It was a strong team collaboration with ICON, Bates Smart and other key sub-contracting services to deliver the wow in this project.

David Wang of ICON Constructions says “Maxton Fox’s scope included high-end café and bar joinery, natural stone works which formed the centre piece of the hotel’s ground floor common area, as well as a wide range of internal and external joinery items both in the café, private dining, communal kitchen and reception. Overall, their workmanship throughout was of a consistently high standard, demonstrating attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship. Their proactive and solutions-focused attitude helped ensure the smooth progression of works in these high-profile areas.

Lyf Bondi Junction achieved practical completion onsite in early 2025.
